Day 93: Quick Hitter: Getting Old v2 "Them New Glasses, Tho"

So today the first of a few pair of glasses with my new prescription came (because I buy my glasses in the mail. Go to fetcheyewear.com and help a poor animal).

When I put them on, I realized that the weird thing I thought was indicating to me what the eye doctor had said about me being close to needing bifocals was actually the difference in .5 of a script intensity.

I can see clearly now, the blur is gone. The little bit of halo-ing I was seeing is completely gone.

This led me to feel relief, as I had thought, even though the doctor told me there was no damage to my eyes, that my eyes had damage.

This is, of course, because I have anxious hypochondria. If I MIGHT have something, I have it. And to be fair, this is largely from previous weird issues. I once had a bacterial infection people only get in South America, but I’ve never been to South America. I once blew an extra hole in myself. My blood vessels once started to decay from allergies and leak plasma into my skin.

I was pretty sure, low-key, that I was going blind from some sort of retinal damage.

I also have much less of a tension headache today. I think I must have been squinting too much.

So yeah, welcome to being 40, but thankfully I’m not in as bad of a position as I thought.

Also, I went to the new pizza place today, and it was so fast and crispy and hot and tasty. Dominos better not fall down again on the job!

No, I didn’t. I will never go there.
