a summary: racist dude screams “leave my country” and guns down an Indian who was just chilling at a bar after work. He then runs to Applebee’s, America’s favorite neighbor, and asks to be hidden.
This is more of the same racist backlash from the election and our new direction. It’s awful and we all know it.
But here is what bothered me the most. This sentence:
“Although federal investigators have not yet labeled the incident a hate crime…”
Are we really living in a world where a white guy yelling “get out of my country” and murdering an Indian is a head scratcher on the hate crime scale?
I’m just beside myself.
